What can we learn from Dairy? The principles of grass growth and management can be applied over various farming systems, the Forage for Profit discussion group will be hearing from a local dairy farmer who converted from beef and sheep 7 years ago to learn more about the differences in the way he manages his grass and nutrients under a dairy regime, how this can be applied to beef and sheep systems and using direct reseeding to establish new leys.
