To minimise the risks associated with respiratory disease in livestock, and maximise the rewards that can gained, this farm meeting at Bridgend Farm Alford (Courtesy of Bill Keir and family) seeks to highlight the simple steps that can be taken to improve the performance of your livestock enterprise during the housing period.
Independent livestock ventilation specialist Jamie Robertson from Livestock Management Systems will highlight how good building design can minimise issues, and what can be done to improve buildings with poor ventilation, using smoke bomb examples to highlight airflow.
Rhys Ward (the host farm’s local vet) from Morven Vet Practice will highlight management tips that can be used to reduce the risks associated with respiratory disease during housing and weaning.
