Ayrshire Women in Agriculture – Isle of Bute Visit

Meeting at Scalpsie Farm, Isle of Bute in the morning by kind permission of Ian Dickson and Lisa Gast and then an afternoon session at Nether Ardroscadale, Isle of Bute by kind permission of Emma Gray and Ewan Irvine. This will be on the 30th June, 11am-4pm on the host farms, therefore please allow time for ferry crossings. Booking is essential for catering purposes (lunch will be provided) and travel arrangements. There will be some cars departing from Auchincruive, Ayr – please email kirstyn.blackwood@sac.co.uk if you wish to travel to the ferry with us.

At this meeting we will hear about:

Rotational grazing of cattle and sheep
Deferred grazing
Glamping pods & diversified income
Breeding and training of Border Collies and Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers
Organics

Please note attendees from the Mainland will need to pay for ferry tickets (approx £7 including return).
