Barley crop health: An update on pest and disease management (Shetland)

An update for growers about pest and disease management and the best practices for maintaining crop health while minimalizing environmental risk.
There will also be a reminder about Greening & cross-compliance requirements. The meeting will include a presentation from renowned plant health expert Fiona Burnett.

After light lunch there will be a visit to Scholland Farm to discuss crop treatment and storage and the use of catch crops in barley stubble.

We will discuss management and share recent experience of crop issues and solutions.

Tea, coffee and a light lunch will be served.
