Buzzing Farms – Getting The Most Out Of AECS And How To Help Our Pollinators

Event Details

Address: Bridge Street, Halkirk KW12 6XY

Pollinating insects such as bumblebees are an essential part of our countryside, but they are in decline.  Farm management is an important part of how we can support thriving populations of beneficial insects for future generations.  The day will be a mixture of talks, a field session at a local farm and group discussion.

Topics of talks include:

  • Practical management which helps pollinators
  • What good landscapes for pollinators looks like
  • Getting support from AECS, and no-cost/low-cost options to use outside of AECS

This is a free event.  Lunch is included so booking is essential for catering.  Please e-mail katy.malone@bumblebeeconservation.org for more details, or see the Bumblebee Conservation Trust website for more details.

This is a Caithness Wetlands and Wildlife Initiative event in partnership with RSPB, SAC Consulting, Bumblebee Conservation Trust, NFU Scotland and Cameron Consulting
