Susan Pirie will be speaking about the results of the carbon footprints, looking at the overall results. She will also speak about the top and bottom end of the results and look at the possible reasons for these. Lorna Macpherson looks to cover mitigation measures which can be put in place to improve a farm’s carbon footprint. The talk will also cover the effects of nutrition and nutrients on your carbon footprint (for example, buying in soya). Doreen Anderson will take you through the Strategic Dairy Farm Project and give more detail on the environmental aspect of that.
