Ease Workload & Boost Productivity (Hawick)

The foundations of a productive and profitable sheep enterprise is flock health and ewe nutrition.  The meeting will use the backdrop of David Mactaggart’s 1,800 May lambing Romney flock to highland the impacts and economic cost of flock disease and the importance of ewe condition.

Kath Dun of Galedin will discuss the farm’s own flock health plan and Chris Cousens from Moredun on developing control measures for OPA.  David Mactaggart will give an overview of his system and the changes he has made to improve the profitability of his sheep enterprise.
