Meat Expectations
Join us at the Stornoway Golf Club for our free event, where we will be looking to demonstrate traditional and added value sheep carcass cuts that increasingly has a keen local market demand. Gordon Newland, Quality Meat Scotland Brand Manager, will be using his butchery trade skills and conversation to show a new approach to product presentation. Donald Smith, local Caterer, will prepare a range of alternative and traditional dishes to broaden our perspectives on what can be achieved from the “humble” carcass. The audience will have the opportunity to sample a taste test or the dishes and ask questions of our speakers. The meeting is open to all interested.
There will be a buffet of sweet and savoury treats on the night and refreshments will be provided.
