When looking at livestock nutrition during the winter months one of the most important things to think about is your silage quality.  At this meeting SAC Consulting Nutritionist, Karen Stewart, will go through the importance of analysing your forage and what to look for in your silage analysis.  We will also look at how best to match silage quality to livestock type and coming up with a well balanced ration.

Following on from this SAC Consulting vet, Tim Geraghty, will discuss the main issues with cattle health in winter.  As ever, pneumonia seems to be an ongoing problem this year so we will look into this and discuss preventative steps and the best treatment methods.  Alongside this we will be discussing how best to keep your cattles health well during the housing period.
