New Entrants to Farming – Business Planning, Put A Plan Into Action (Dumfries)
A business plan is an essential tool to assess the financial viability of a business and it is the document that banks or other investors will want to see seeking finance. New entrants, or even well-established farmers proposing a new enterprise, will find preparing and presenting a business plan very beneficial, as they communicate their ideas to lenders.
On Tuesday 23rd July at Barony College, 7pm-9pm Rodney Wallace, Agriculture Director at HSBC will advise and demonstrate what you should include in a business plan which is intended for a potential investor. With uncertain times ahead in farming it is ever more important that these professional skills are learned for new and existing businesses to move forward.
He will cover a future strategy for business planning, what the bank looks for and then participants will look at a case study. He will also touch on the threat of financial fraud
