New Entrants to Farming: Pigs & Poultry (Inverness)

Diversifying in to pig or poultry production can be a valuable source of income for new entrants or established businesses. It can provide a route to expand an existing business without acquiring more land.

This meeting will have two speakers, Gordon Whiteford and Louise Urquhart, who have both done exactly this themselves.  Gordon is an organic egg producer and Louise produces and sells pork. Both speakers market their produce directly to the consumer as well. It will be a valuable opportunity for those considering these enterprises to hear first-hand the challenges and opportunities of the pig and poultry sectors.
