New Entrants to Farming: Rebooting your Crofting Business (Skye)

Technology is at the forefront of the agricultural industry and crofting and hill farming are as much part of the excitement being generated.  We use technology to help improve efficiency in businesses, and support Scotland’s excellent welfare standards.

This event will demonstrate equipment already in use, and discuss future technology that will be of interest to this area. We have video footage of technology used in the sheep industry, and Malcolm MacDonald will talk about his virtual fencing for cattle project.  Also covered will be how to apply as individuals and groups to make use of potential grant funding opportunities.
