With the day length starting to shorten it is time to turn our attention to autumn and winter management on the farm. We are holding a meeting which will cover a variety of topics. The main focus being on the basics of practical health and grassland planning for cattle and sheep keeping.
The morning session will be held indoors and cover the following topics;
- Feed budgeting
- Alternative beddings
- The importance of good grassland management
- Efficient use of fertilisers.
The afternoon session will be on farm practical session. It is important to know what to look for when selling and buying sheep and cattle. Our experts will discuss demonstrate how to undertake a Tup MOT and the best way to handle cattle and sheep. We will also discuss the importance of health planning and worm control.
Please remember to wear clean clothes and footwear suitable for disinfection.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
