Sheep Condition Scoring and Nutrition – Kilberry

Book

Pre-lambing is one of the most important periods in the sheep calendar.

Ensuring ewes achieve key targets in terms of nutrition and condition can set the footing for the coming year.  This meeting is aimed at crofters, small farmers and sheep keepers.  We’ll discuss nutrition and body condition score targets.  We’ll also look at basic ration formulation to ensure your flock is getting the nutrition it needs to ensure the ewes are ready for the upcoming hard work.

We’ll also have a practical session where we will have a go at condition scoring, discussing what to look for, optimal condition scores to aim for and what nutrition is needed to make changes in the run up to and after lambing.

This will be a really interesting and informative day for anyone interested in keeping their sheep flocks in good condition.

Please use the booking form below to secure your place.  As this is an on-farm event, and out of courtesy to the host farmer, please wear footwear suitable for disinfecting; warm clothing is recommended.
