The next meeting of the Sutherland Monitor Farm is taking place on Thursday 10th October, courtesy of Jason and Victoria Ballantyne, Clynelish Farm, Brora.
10.30am arrival for tea & coffee to start sharp at 11am.
As winter approaches, Vet and Sheep & Beef production consultant Trevor Cook (Totally Vets Ltd) will be making a return visit to discuss winter management options at Clynelish . Topics will include :-
- Ewe Management from now until tupping and into the new year
- Management of young beef stock that are out wintered on grass rotation & swedes
- Nutritional requirement of in-calf cows over winter
- Transitioning onto Fodder Beet
Following a treatment of Agritox on an area that was Rush infested. Iain Allan from Nufarm will be discussing Rush Control and how best to manage and treat Rushes.
