This is an inaugural meeting for farmers in the Westhill & District area of Aberdeenshire to get together and meet, especially following the cancellation of Echt Show this year (due to COVID 19). This is the first of three planned meetings this year to enable farmers (and the next generation) to meet and get together strengthening the ties that link the community together.
With the majority of farmers in the area having a cattle enterprise, and ScotEID in Huntly replacing BCMS/CTS for notifying births, deaths and movements, this subject has been considered an essential topic to be highlighted, keeping local farmers at the forefront of this change.
Bob Yuill (Director of ScotEID) has kindly agreed to speak to the webinar meeting, providing an overview of the intended changes, timescales, and benefits that EID tagging will bring to the industry in the future.
Come and be a part of the meeting and use the opportunity to answer any questions you may have by registering your place on the FAS website.
Two further meeting intend to be held later in the year (Sept & Nov) focused on production and agri-business related topics that affect farmers in the local area.
Bookings are no longer available for this event.
