Women in Agriculture, Inverness: Pre-tupping and Tupping Management

  • September 7 2021
    10:00am - 3:00pm

We are all striving to be more efficient, and one way is to have a compact lambing, with few barren ewes. On this practical course which will be held at Muir of Ord, we will cover preparation for the breeding season and actions through the breeding season.

As well as:

  • Quarantine treatments for purchased tups
  • Tup “MOT” check over working parts and general condition
  • Harnesses and keel
  • Ewe MOT
  • Timings
  • Flushing ewes
  • Tup nutrition

The course will run twice in one day from 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm.

Places are strictly limited  so please contact facilitator Siobhan Macdonald if you are interested. Upon doing so and your place being confirmed, you will receive the location and directions for this meeting. If you are not able to attend the practical course, the Women in Agriculture, Balivanich group are running an online meeting on the 14th September covering the same topics.
