Wood you like to diversify? – Woodland Creation Event (Lennoxtown)

Wood you like to diversify, grow your farm business or plan for succession?

Planting a new woodland or a timber crop might be an option.  Join us for our upcoming woodland creation event near Glasgow which will include a visit to a privately owned recently planted Balcorrach Woodland north of Lennoxtown – not to be confused with neighbouring area of the same name planted by Forestry and Land Scotland.

During this interactive event we’ll learn about the financial and additional benefits of woodlands and trees, the grant funding available, financing during establishment and the agricultural perspective of when and where it makes sense to plant trees.

Our line up of guest speakers include

  • Malcolm Young (Senior Forestry Consultant, SAC Consulting)
  • Virginia Harden-Scott (Woodland Creation Officer, Scottish Forestry)
  • James Heaton (Agribusiness Relationship Manager, Clydesdale Bank)
  • Robin Mair (Senior Consultant, SAC Consulting)

As this event includes lunch, you are asked to secure your place using the booking form below.  Please wear warm clothing and footwear suitable for the forestry walk in the afternoon.
