Organics in Scotland: Organic crop production & marketing
Interested in organic crop production and marketing? Don’t miss our FAS Northeast event on Thursday, July 18, at 10:45 AM at Mains of Thornton, Old Meldrum!
We will begin with an insightful tour of Murray Cooper’s oilseed rape crops, grown for the SCOCAN (Scottish Organic CANola) producer group. We’ll then have lunch at Morris’s Hotel, followed by a tour of Norvite’s processing plant, where organic oilseed rape is crushed for oil.
We will not be providing transport for this event but there is only a short drive between sites. In the interests of minimising our carbon footprints we encourage you to car share where possible.
📅 Schedule:
10:30 AM: Mains of Thornton, Inverurie, AB51 0JX (What3words///smoke.saucepan.socialite)
12:30 PM: Lunch at Morris’s Hotel, Old Meldrum, AB51 0DS
