Coming Soon:

Content from FFBC is currently being migrated onto the FAS site. You will soon be able to find Farming for a Better Climate material, along with other FAS resources on this page and using the search bar.

Farming For a Better Climate (FFBC) was a Scottish Government initiative delivered by SAC Consulting, providing practical support to farmers across Scotland.  Working with farmers, farm consultants and the latest scientific advice, the project identified and shared practical and realistic ways to improve farm efficiency, increase profitability and at the same time reduce the carbon footprint through practical actions.

From working with Climate Change Focus Farms, a Soil Regenerative Agriculture Group and latterly conducting on farm trials, findings from Farming for a Better Climate have been shared widely so as other farmers can benefit.

A wealth of information covering a range of topics including: soil sampling, carbon emissions, nutrient budgeting, alternative forage and more.

FFBC produced a number of case studies with farmers from all over Scotland, documenting what they are doing to improve profitability and adapt to a changing climate.
