Agronomy Roadshows 2022

16 December 2021

AHDB, FAS and SRUC will be coming together in January 2022 and running three Agronomy roadshows as on-line events.

The winter Agronomy Roadshows will cover the latest in technical content for arable crops and look towards the challenges of net zero and more sustainable production systems. The first event will cover practical agronomy messages for 2022. The second session will cover the latest in improved crop agronomy and the final event  will offer farmer-led discussion sessions on a sustainable future for arable cropping.

In the first session on technical agronomy session there will be detailed tech talks on varieties, fungicides, soil health and markets, with a Q and A session with the presenters.

In the Improved Agronomy session there will tech talks  and Q&A on carbon calculation,  optimising fertilser inputs,  the future of alternative plant protection products and the key priorities in integrated pest management planning.

Finally in the Sustainable Futures Agronomy event there will be quick-fire technical updates followed by case studies from growers discussing their experience of applying more integrated and regenerative systems and working towards net zero, followed by a discussion session with the panel.

These roadshows were originally planned as in-person but have had to move on-line because of the current covid situation.
