Free Expert Support for Farmers and Crofters

22 October 2025

Running a farm or croft comes with daily challenges—and the Farm Advisory Service (FAS) is here to help. Through its free advice line, FAS offers up to 30 minutes of expert guidance by phone or email, tailored to your specific needs. Whether you’re seeking clarity on regulations, improving sustainability, or exploring new opportunities, the advice line connects you with experienced professionals who understand rural business.

Support is available Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5pm, and covers a wide range of topics including livestock, crops, diversification, and business planning. In addition to advice, FAS also provides access to funding opportunities and grants to help strengthen your enterprise.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow, this service is a valuable resource for Scotland’s farming and crofting communities.

Call 0300 323 0161 or email advice@fas.scot to get started. For more information on the advice line or to apply for grant funding, visit our Advice & Grants page.
