Grant Funding for Whole Farm Support this Summer

24 June 2026

The summer months are amongst the busiest and most important in the farming calendar, with longer days driving intensive work on grassland management, silage making, and livestock tasks such as grazing and shearing. Alongside these day-to-day demands, it is also a key point in the year to take stock of how the season is progressing, using this insight to inform decisions that will impact performance later in the year.

Reviewing your business can be challenging during this busy period, but it can also be extremely valuable. Through the Farm Advisory Service (FAS), an Integrated Land Management Plan (ILMP) offers a structured way to assess all aspects of your farm or croft, from financial performance and resource use to biodiversity and longer-term goals. Working with an accredited adviser, you can develop a clear, practical action plan to strengthen both profitability and sustainability.

With up to £2,000 of funding available, this is an opportunity to take a whole-farm approach alongside seasonal priorities. Whether reviewing current systems or planning ahead, an ILMP can help ensure decisions made during busy periods contribute to a more resilient future. To find out more or apply, visit the FAS website or contact advice@fas.scot or 0300 323 0161.
