Better Wellbeing, Better Business – Lothian

Book event

Hear from others within the industry about the positive business impacts they’ve seen after taking steps to improve their own welfare. Afterwards there will be discussion of a number of practical ways you can start making a change, as well as an introduction to different tools that are available to help you live well while farming and crofting.

Managing your wellbeing is an important part of a successful business, and improvements to your own health translate to improvements in your bottom line.

This series is being run in collaboration with Farmstrong Scotland, a wellbeing programme for the farming and crofting sector, sharing peer-to-peer tips and advice. There are always ups-and-downs in farming and to farm and croft well, you need to live well and invest in your number one asset – yourself.

In this session we will hear from Peter Eccles. Peter is a farm manager from East Lothian.  He started out as an agricultural consultant with SAC, before taking on the farm manager job at Saughland Farm, Midlothian.  There he changed the farming system quite dramatically and went on to win the Farmers Weekly farm manager of the year and farmer of the year, and AgriScot Sheep farm of the year

The meeting starts at 10am and will conclude with lunch. The event is free but please book your space for catering purposes.
