Come along on Wednesday 15th January for the Lewis & Harris leg of the Crofting Cows series. Derek Hanton from SAC Consulting and Franz Brulisauer, Vet from SRUC, will be chatting about condition of cattle and winter feeding, minerals, calving metabolic diseases, calving and the calf scheme changes.

We will be kicking off the meeting at DJ Macinnes’ cattle shed in Bunavoneader, North Harris. Followed by a talk and refreshments at Tarbert Community Centre.

Come along to pick up some tips, ask questions and have a shot of calving the dummy calf.

As we will be outdoors for some part, please wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
