Farm Wildlife Walk – Moray

Book event

Join us at Auchriachan Farm for a morning looking at how livestock farming and wildlife work together in practice. Andy and Debbie Duffus are our hosts and we will have the opportunity to look at a variety of habitats across the farm including hedges, riparian woodland, unimproved and improved grassland and watercourses.

We will discuss the best ways to manage these habitats for biodiversity and we will be joined by the Spey Catchment Initiative, who have been working with farmers in the area to improve riparian habitat for the benefit of wildlife in the Spey and its tributaries.

There will also be an opportunity to discuss recent changes to agricultural policy and how they will impact on your farm, including enhanced greening requirements and the whole farm plan biodiversity audit.

Please wear suitable outdoor and waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear, as the walk will cover uneven ground.

A light lunch and refreshments will be provided after the walk.

Booking is essential for catering purposes.
