Practical Workshop – Lambing

Hands on Lambing techniques!

Practical workshop with lambing simulator, practising IP, eyelid injections, tubing and castration.

Whether you are new to lambing or looking for some tips and a refresher, join us for this workshop where we will cover what you need to know and do in the run up to and during lambing.

This half practical, half theory based workshop will cover:

  • colostrum management
  • condition scoring
  • ewe nutrition
  • kit
  • hygiene
  • ewe and lamb disease risks
  • neonatal management including welfare around banding

We will practice administrating intraperitoneal injections (IP) and practice difficult deliveries with a lambing simulator as well as the opportunity to quiz the speakers on nutrition, veterinary or management at lambing.
