Slurry Regulations & Lagoon Solutions
Join us to find out more about slurry regulations and lagoon storage.
Amendments to the Water Environment (Controlled Activities) (Scotland) Regulations 2011 came into force in January 2022. The changes brought together existing regulations and updated rules around how we manage and store slurry. One of the main regulations being implemented is that by the 1st January 2026 all farms with housed cattle producing slurry must have 22 weeks slurry storage.
This event will provide information on:
- Rules and regulations on slurry storage & spreading
- Calculating storage requirements & RAMs mapping
- Design and construction of slurry lagoons
- Making use of available grant funding
During the event, there will be a visit to see a newly constructed lagoon at Dinwoodie Green Farm, courtesy of local farmer, James McGarva.
