Join the Soil Association for an interactive webinar exploring what Whole Farm Plans are, an outline of the new requirements, and how a whole farm planning approach can boost the resilience of your business.

New holistic benchmarking platform, SA Exchange, will be used to explore how whole farm planning as a holistic approach can inform and support the long term, strategic planning for farms.

Charles Ekin of Lumphinnans Farm says “I try to take a step back and have a helicopter view of where the farm is now and, more importantly, where it’s going and what I want that to look like”.

The main areas that Charles would like to address with a whole farm planning approach are to rebuild soil health and fertility, reduce the carbon footprint, and build resilience to the changing climate, particularly in the context of water management, shelter and habitat.

Sustainable farming advisor Rosa Holt will explore Lumphinnans’ recent soil and carbon audit results, what they mean in practice, and where improvements could be made to plan and implement a reduction in inputs and a move towards more regenerative practices.
