Dumfries: PLANET Scotland for NVZ records workshop – Event Summary

PLANET Scotland is free software produced by the Scottish Government.  It helps you to use the most up to date advice on prodPlanet Scotland Logoucing fertiliser recommendations.  Information on soil nutrient levels, previous applications of slurries and FYM and cropping history are all taken account for by the software programme.  PLANET Scotland can be accessed from www.planet4farmers.co.uk PLANET is available free of charge as a download from the website, or on DVD.

Following an overview of the main rules and requirements before going on to discuss the requirements for a RAMS (Risk Assessment for Manures & Slurries) map.  The course went on to explain how to create field reports, creat NMax reports, create N-farm loading reports, and how to create organic manure production reports.
