Tough Times Never Last But Tough People Do!

Farming and rural life bring challenges we often can’t control  –   weather, livestock, market prices – but resilience comes from how we respond, not just what happens.

Resilience is the ability to adapt and recover from difficulties, and one of the ways we build it is by re-framing the way we see challenges.  Why not come along to our Caithness WIA event on Thursday 4th September to hear from Fiona MacIntosh from More than Motivation, who will be advising us on how to deal with the way we respond to change.

Also we will hear from local retired vet Frank Stephen on his personal reliance journey and how his focus to raise awareness of Alzheimer has seen him raise in the excess of £35K.this year.

Cat MacGregor from SAC Consulting will finish up by explaining what FAS support is available for business who are looking to become more resilient.

This event will give you an insight and understanding on learning about how to change our responses from focusing on what we cannot control to focusing on what we can control.
Successful, resilient farm/croft businesses don’t happen because the farm is in a good location, or because it has better soils, or because they have better livestock, or because they are lucky.  Successful, resilient farm businesses are run by resilient farmers and crofters, with the right attitude, outlook and support to overcome challenges and to seize opportunities that come their way.
