Responding to Extremes: Inverness Managing Changing Weather

Book event

Join us as we examine how changing weather patterns are impacting Scottish farming, from spring droughts to periods of flooding, and what this means for day-to-day farm management.

This event will explore practical ways to build resilience in forage systems, with a focus on grassland and silage management, water scarcity, and evolving animal health pressures.

Drier springs and summers have led to silage shortages and reduced quality on some farms. We will discuss how you can prepare for and manage these challenges, including using winter forage crops to boost output, reduce feed costs, and support compliance with new greening requirements.

SEPA will provide insight on water scarcity, alongside a pop-up stand from Farming and Water Scotland.

This event is suited to anyone looking to make their farming system more resilient.

Lunch will be provided and booking is essential.
