Chocolate Spot

Chocolate spot can cause extensive damage in crops as a consequence of the wet weather in June. Chocolate spot is caused by the fungus botrytis fabae. It can attack leaves, stems, flower buds and developing pods, leading to major yield losses. Protection with a fungicide when the disease first appears or at early flower can help prevent these losses.
