Funding for Tree Planting

There are various sources of funding available to farmers and crofters. This ranges from funding for specialist advice to assess where a planting project would create greatest benefit right through to significant capital funding and management payments under the Forestry Grant Scheme. For smaller plantings, MOREwoods funding from the Woodland Trust is a funding stream worth looking into while for crofters, there is the specific Croft Woodlands from the Woodland Trust.

For management of existing trees, there is the option of Ancient Wood pasture under the Agri Environment Climate Scheme.
