Argyll WIA – Diversification with a Difference

Book event

This is a Women in Agriculture event.

Join us at Kames Farm to discover how sustainability has guided every aspect of this business and shaped diversification.

We will go on a guided walk to look at how the biodiversity of the farm has been protected and enhanced through wildlife corridors and wildflower meadows and hear about how the business has successfully used composting and managed soil.

Curious about diversification? We will learn about how the business is raising Angora goats for fibre and follow the process of spinning and weaving, followed by a look at the resulting products.

An inspirational day, not to be missed!

Lunch is provided and so booking is essential.

Please note that this event involves a walk through fields and farm land and so suitable footwear and outdoor clothing are advised.
