Ayrshire Women in Agriculture – Blackthorn Salt & Whitehill Farm
Do you want to see two local businesses focused on local food and sustainability?
Come along to this FAS Ayrshire Women in Agriculture meeting at 10:30am on the 19th of July 2023, where in the morning we will have a tour of Blackthorn Salt in Ayr, where they use a Blackthorn graduation tower in the process of making their Ayrshire Sea Salt. Blackthorn’s ethos is focused on using sustainable methods to create high quality food salt, whilst also educating people about local heritage.
In the afternoon by kind permission of the Rathore family, we will go to Whitehill Farm near Coylton to see their deer farming enterprise and hear about their plans for the herd.
Lunch will be provided so booking is essential.
