Crofting in Shetland – Agri-Environment & Peatland Day

Do you have questions about the agri-environment climate scheme (AECS) or peatland restoration? Join us for a visit to two different crofts to see how both schemes have been integrated into the day-to-day running of the business. Representatives will be on hand from RPID, Naturescot, RSPB, and Peatland Action to give you the answers you need.

We’ll start the day at Brekkavidur, Sandness (by kind permission of Robert Williamson) to discuss his experiences with AECS, then we’ll stop for lunch (provided by FAS) before travelling to Clousta (by kind permission of John Abernethy) to discuss his experiences with AECS and his work with Peatland Restoration. An event not to be missed and a great opportunity to find out all you need to know about how these schemes can work for you.
