Farming & Water Scotland, The Upper Forth Farmer & Land Manager Network – Making Every Drop Count: Sustainable Management of Waterways
Good water management is more important than ever, and there are new opportunities to make farms more resilient and productive.
The Upper Forth Farming and Land Manager Network, in collaboration with Farming and Water Scotland and SAC Consulting invite you to an on farm event focused on practical on-farm water management.
Join us for the morning to discuss –
- New rules to think about when it comes to drains, ditches and dredging, and what to think about before starting any work.
- Options for dealing with water on farm including storage and sediment control to riparian management with a focus on protecting soils, reducing risk and weather-proofing farms at a catchment scale.
- AECS and other schemes that can be used to finance on farm options
- What’s required around RAMS, including how it fits into land inspections and why having one in place matters.
All followed by a delicious lunch!
Places are limited and open to all farmers and land managers (not restricted to the Upper Forth catchment).
