Forage Focus Field Day

Join us on Tuesday 11^th November for a forage focus field day by kind permission of the Biggar family.  During a farm walk James Biggar will give us updates on the evolution of forage crop and bale grazing systems being used for the Chapelton commercial suckler herd.  We will be covering the agronomics and costings of the different forage crops and discussing how the system can be modified in response to climate challenges and rising costs.  We will also spotlight upcoming changes to greening requirements and where forage crops and herbal leys can be incorporated into livestock systems.

Lunch will be provided at the Laurie Arms so booking is essential.

Please bring clean footwear and wet weather clothing.
