Improving Silage Quality – What’s it Worth?

Attendees can book into either the morning or afternoon session with lunch available to all between 12.00 – 13.00.

Morning Session: 10:00 – 12:00
Afternoon Session: 13:00 – 15:00

This on-farm event will focus on the important management factors for making high quality silage and minimising nutritional losses in the field and during storage. We’ll hear from Farm Manager Donald Barrie about the silage making process at Glensaugh and how silage quality has improved over time. The use of additives and the different types of additives will be discussed, along with the impact of silage quality on livestock performance and savings on purchased feeds this winter.
