Improving Efficiency

The Farming for a Better Climate initiative produced a wide range of practical guides, case studies, videos and podcasts to share practical ideas from farmers and other experts about what they had done and how it has benefited their business. We have grouped these resources under key headings; These resources were produced over the course of the project from 2010 to 2024, so some reference to schemes or legislation which was correct at the time of writing, may have now changed.

Carbon Management

Carbon management on the farm, including using it as a tool to identify less competitive areas of the business compared with like farms has now become common place. Repeating a carbon audit at three or five year intervals can show how the changes to practice are impacting on farm emissions and demonstrate how your farm is taking action.
