Apply Now for One-to-One Support Through FAS
1 April 2026The Farm Advisory Service (FAS) has reopened applications to its one-to-one support services, which were temporarily paused due to exceptionally high demand.
You can now apply for funding for the following services:
- Integrated Land Management Plan (ILMP): work with an expert consultant of your choosing to review every aspect of your business and develop a clear step-by-step action plan tailored to your goals.
- Specialist Advice: access specialist support in areas such as biodiversity, habitat and landscape management; farm business efficiency; soil and nutrient management; and many more.
- Mentoring: get matched with an experienced mentor who has the skills and knowledge to support you in the critical early years of establishing your business.
1,271 grants were offered by FAS in the 2024-2025 financial year, with a phenomenal level of uptake and positive feedback.
- 100% of farmers and crofters who used the ILMP and Mentoring services would recommend them to others.
- 97% of those who received Specialist Advice would recommend the service to others.
“It has been invaluable for us, and we will continue to reap the benefits from it for many more years to come.” – ILMP recipient, Laura Macleod, High Cluniter Smallholding.
