New Entrants to Farming: A Business Plan Is More Than Just A Report (Ayr) Event Summary

Kev Bevan, gave an excellent presentation entitled a business plan is more than just a report.  The purpose of the meeting was to encourage young farmers and new entrants to challenge their business performance and push themselves and their businesses forward.  Kev made the point that many business plans are prepared for the bank and then filed away, a business plan should be a working document and used to help budgeting and monitoring business performance.  We also looked at the new FAS farm budgeting tool which will allow farmers to prepare their own financial forecasts.
