Control of Rushes TN701 – English
Posted in Crofts & Small Farms, Crops and Soils
Rushes are an issue on many crofts and small farms. Rushes reduce the area available for grazing, and although damp grassland provides breeding habitat for many wading birds, dense rush cover doesn’t provide the best habitat. The short Technical Note below, available in English and Gaelic, explains the methods of control available, both chemical and non-chemical. This will allow you to target rushes specifically before addressing your wider soil and grassland management.
