Forage Crops: Kevin Stewart

Forage crops can provide a range of benefits, including business resilience against variable fodder supplies, low cost out-wintering and opportunities to expand farm output. We recently filmed three case studies with farmers in the Borders in which they share their experience of growing and utilising forage crops. In this video, Kevin Stewart from Sharpitlaw explains how and why he grows stubble turnips, which are fed to his sheep flock over the winter.
