Intercropping

In this video, Donald Dunbar speaks about companion crops, otherwise known as Intercropping, with Jonny Mccririck in the Scottish Borders.  As protein prices have been rising farmers have been looking to grow protein crops on their own farms to offset costs. This can be done by Intercropping, where by a farmer grows two crops together, and takes them right through to harvest, which research by SRUC shows can produce a higher yield.
