Purchasing Farm Software – What to Consider

Farm software can be a useful tool to help you stay compliant with regulations, to help keep track of inputs and outputs, and when combined with practical knowledge, good data can help aid decisions.  There are a whole range of software packages out there, from app based to cloud based programmes, some that are compatible with EID readers, others that can link up with your tractor GPS and phones and tablets.  With so many options it can be difficult to choose which package is best for you.  It can take time to set it all up and start inputting data, so it is important to consider your purchase carefully, and try to future proof it as much as you can.  In this video we talk to David Dandie about what considerations he made before selecting the right software for his business, and how record keeping has helped his business.
