New Tail Docking and Castration Techniques – Demo Event

The second in a series of events looking at new castration and tail docking methods for sheep. We will be getting together with Laurence Martin of Endrick Valley Livestock and Brian Eadie from Clipfitter for a practical demonstration of Clipfitter being used on older lambs. The system is licensed for use on lambs up to 12 weeks old. We will be kindly hosted by Stewart Mouat at Clumlie, Dunrossness.

During this meeting, as well as the practical demonstration, we’ll hear from those who have already tried the Clipfitter sytem and exchange feedback on the experience so far. Results for different folk locally have been mixed, so the event will be a good place to learn more about both the opportunities and challenges of using this new system. Laurence and Brian will be on hand to answer questions and feed into the discussion.
