Adding Value to Farm Assets – Farming with Wildlife and Habitat Conservation

Book

Many farms have diversified to add value to their assets. At West Moss-side Farm, Kate Sankey has farmed organically with wildlife and habitat conservation principles since 1998. Part of the farm is Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve – the largest remaining raised bog in the British Isles. Through careful land management and integration of rare breed Shetland cattle, Kate is regenerating the farm while selling high quality beef direct to consumers. Agritourism also plays a big part at West Moss-side where guests can immerse themselves in nature and stay in purpose-built yurts. Join us for a cuppa and a farm walk, and you will be inspired by Kate who is adding value to her farm assets!
Additional information: Book now as spaces are limited to 20 people. Bring waterproofs and wellies as this event will be in the field rain or shine!
