Arable+ Series: Green Manures and Cover Crops – Aberdeen

Book event

Arable+ looks at the different techniques arable farmers use to get more from their land.

Green manures and cover crops have come into the spotlight in recent years – building soil fertility, acting as a break or fodder crop and can bring many soil health benefits. The revised 2026 EFA Greening requirements also allow for more flexibility and opportunities for their use.

By kind permission of George McWilliam, at this interactive meeting you can:

– Hear George’s experience in growing a variety of green cover crops over the last 10 years at Tullos.

– Discuss with Ed Jones from Frontier on how green cover crops could fit into your farm system.

– Work out how to utilise green cover crops and take advantage to meet Greening requirements.

We will start the meeting on-farm, moving into a local hall for a hot lunch and further discussions.

Booking is essential.
